A code of silence

In the shadowy underbelly of any organization, a troubling code of silence often prevails. This unwritten law dictates that members must remain silent about injustices. Fear of reprisal from fellow members, coupled with a sense of loyalty to the group, enforces this unbreakable silence. As a result, accountability is often buried, allowing abuse to thrive.

Breaking this code can be extremely perilous. Anyone who dare to speak out often face blacklisting, becoming targets themselves. This corrosive silence creates a climate of fear where transparency is rare.

Trapped Inside, Shut Outside

You yearn to escape, break free, get out, but the door remains sealed, bars hold firm, lock refuses to budge.

Then there's the opposite: being locked out, shut outside, denied entry. The world beckons, teases, calls from just beyond your reach. You see the warmth, light, life inside, but you're excluded, separated, left behind. It can feel like a cold, lonely, desolate existence, isolated, abandoned, forgotten.
